Verve was FRAM+Slokker's taller East Village statement: a 25-storey tower on a five-storey podium, 288 homes, completed with first move-ins in October 2018 at the heart of the district's culture-and-festival core. Where the developer's First (2015) sat low on the riverfront, Verve reaches for the skyline a few blocks in, its podium base holding live-work suites to the street and its tower floors claiming downtown and river views.

As one of East Village's newer completions, Verve offers current systems inside Calgary's most walkable new district — the Central Library, Studio Bell and RiverWalk all within a five-minute radius.

FRAM+Slokker followed First with Verve, a 25-storey tower rising from a five-floor podium that engages the East Village streetwall with live-work formats. Construction ran through the 2015 cycle the assessment roll records, with first residents in October 2018. The two FRAM+Slokker buildings — First on the riverfront, Verve a few blocks in — anchor the developer's contribution to the master-planned district.

Verve's 288 homes span studio, one- and two-bedroom plans plus podium-level live-work suites, engineered for the district's urban market. Upper tower floors gain skyline and river-valley views over the low podium blocks around them; the podium units engage the street directly. Registered-plan measurements are the reliable figures for any specific home.

Public sources report a fitness centre, owners' lounge, a rooftop-level amenity space and the podium live-work format — a fuller program than First's, reflecting Verve's larger scale. As a recent building the terms are current; confirm the amenity and live-work rules, and any rooftop-level maintenance provisions, in the bylaws and budget.

East Village is Calgary's most car-optional new district: RiverWalk, a full grocery and City Hall station are all a short walk, and the flat riverside grid suits cycling year-round.

City Hall station sits roughly 509 straight-line metres south-west — a seven-minute walk — with the free-fare 7 Avenue corridor beyond. RiverWalk's Bow-and-Elbow promenade, St. Patrick's Island, the Central Library and Studio Bell are all inside a five-minute radius, and Bridgeland's main street is a short walk across the river.

Verve anchors East Village's cultural core, steps from the district's festival programming, the library and the music centre. It is the most animated part of Calgary's most-planned district — superb for residents who want events, pathways and culture at the door, with the ongoing build-out of remaining parcels the main thing to check against a specific exposure. Bridgeland's cafés and the downtown core are each a short walk.

A 2018 reinforced-concrete tower-on-podium now approaching its first major reserve-fund study cycle — the document where a newer building's envelope, elevator, podium and amenity-systems planning first becomes concrete. Read it with the insurance certificate and the rooftop-amenity budget.
